Because people without insurance go to emergency rooms and the cost is exorbitantly higher than to them than it would be under a public option. And their taxes wouldn't go up probably at all unless they were making over 250 thousand a year, and if by some reason they did go up, it wouldn't be nearly as high as the money they pay out of pocket for insurance premiums now. Unless they get Medicare, which in that case, this person can just go eff themselves because everybody else pays for their health care and they themselves are dependent on government and are, therefore, ungodly. But I am sure this person will opt out of Medicare according to their own principles now or in the future when they get it.

And just who would Jesus deny health care to?
