Reply #81: How are we going to warn humans 1/4 of a million years to stay away

Humans are a naturally curious species. If we entomb high level radioactive waste what communication system are we going to use that will warn our decedents 250,000 years from now if they encounter a large under ground tomb of plutonium? In only a few centuries english has changed a vast amount. Latin has come and gone. Go back a couple of thousand years or more and Egyptians are using hieroglyphics. With nukes we need to isolate elements and warn future humans to stay away for more than a quarter of a MILLION years. It it disrespectful, irresponsible and arrogant to assume we can communicate that far into the future. None of the thousands of generations that come after us should have to pay the price for our few years of electricity.
