It is a great forum, the rules there however are pretty restrictive. In order to post there you have to use an actual news article, you can not simply write your own thoughts. Such a rule does limit debate.

I don't know if my OP violates DU rules or not, that will be up to the mods to decide and I would not be shocked if this thread ends up getting locked.

I will not be upset with the mods if they lock it, because I do understand the reasons for the mods rules. I will be upset however at the people who try to use this issue to spread hatred for others, because they are the reason the mods are forced to put such restrictive rules on this discussion.
