51. a better solution?
revolutions are often bloody affairs because the folks in power will not in fact tolerate a better solution.

No doubt, one looks for a bloodless long term solution first, and sometimes, it actually works, like say in the Soviet Union, but the only reason it worked there is because the society's economy was near collapse and reforming the system was preferable to those in charge than the chaos and revolution that was coming from a completely collapsed economy.

Most of the time, revolution requires some blood.
