56. I know what you mean about time never working its magic
Edited on Wed Jun-03-09 08:09 AM by Samantha
I lost my mom at six. When my father told me she was dead, I did not know the significance of that word. I waited and waited for her to come back, despite having attended her funeral and seeing her lying in her coffin.

I was extremely close to my mother. Her absence in my life has been profound. Yet over the years, I realize how much like her I am, in that many of my creative instincts, writing, art and music, came from her. My demeanor is a lot like hers. I realize now how privileged I was to be born to such an amazing woman who, although she passed from this life at 28, left her indelible mark in the children she left behind.

We lose many we so love when they pass from this world, but the love itself never dies.

Peace to you, my friend.

Sam
