can't afford a trip or take time from jobs to actually do this. I agree with what you're saying and can only hope there are enough people who are able to sit on their doorsteps!

We just took in another elder relative to care for after having my mother-in-law for almost 10 years. Thankfully Hospice accepted her, but now we start all over again. Medicare will take elders into Nursing Homes, but they are getting jammed packed and the care is really bad. I know taking care of relatives is the right thing to do, but my life is passing me by. My husband retired and I'm on disability and for the past 10 years we've been unable to really take any time for ourselves because of our care giving.

And no, I'm not looking for medals or sympathy, just grouchy and complaining today!
