Reply #22: I don't know enough about the plan to complain or agree

Someone made the comment the other day that when we were attacked on the infamous 9-11 it was reported it was from the direction from Osama in Afghanistan. True, many of the culprits were from Saudi Arabia. We do have an issue with Afghanistan and of course Pakistan. How do we leave that country without making matters worse with the rebel bands of Al Quida(sp?).

I am old enough, for sure, to remember Viet Nam. I hated Johnson for what he did. Yes, I voted for Kennedy. Johnson had some serious issues with the Kennedy's and I feel he let politics interfere with intelligence.

We can hope Obama has studied history and doesn't repeat it. But, Viet Nam didn't attack us, people from Afghanistan did. Al Quida(?) is scattered all over the globe. This is a difficult situation. Pakistan needs to be a major player in this Afghanistan issue. In other words, I feel it is too soon to jump Obama's rear for his comments on that region.
