I think it's all too sad that this is a fact of life for many working people nowadays and Hall's is just capitalizing on it...people feel they can't afford to take a day off when they're sick, so the only choice they have is to "man up," go to work, and medicate themselves all day, and hope they can somehow manage to crawl through the hours until they can go home and rest.

I mean, it may be the reality of how things are, but it's so cold and cruel for a cough drop seller to actually personify it in the form of a drill sergeant who bellows at sick employees not to show any weakness, to hide any bad feelings they have, and make them give a "war scream" to prove they can handle being sick at work without letting up a step.
