In that context, it seemed you were joining in the "really, she can't be all that poor can she?" pile-on. But if that's not what you mean, I apologize.

I still don't agree, though. I think it's quite reasonable to be poor enough to need lunch assistance, but not be poor enough that you still have some little extras like a web site. Needing free lunches doesn't mean you're living in a cardboard box, here. People like that still have things like TVs, computers, etc. They aren't absolutely destitute, you know. And insisting that they have to be before we institute such a program is draconian. I'm sorry, but I think the people who insist upon that have another website they'd be more comfortable at. I don't think kids should be going hungry in our schools, and that's exactly what would happen if we insisted on such a standard.
