1. the question that keeps gnawing at me is . . .
where's all this money coming from? . . . there sure as hell aren't enough sources to borrow the hundreds of billions (or trillions) for the bailouts and recoveries and wars and all the rest, so where is all this money coming from? . . .

the only answer I can come up with is government printing presses . . . which is fine, I guess, except for the fact that printing money generally results in inflation . . . and printing billions (or trillions) of dollars will likely result in massive inflation, no? . . .

of course, I'm no economist, or even someone who understands the ins and outs of high finance . . . I'm just trying to use a little common sense here to figure this out . . . am I missing something? . . .
