I'm sorry ccharles000 that your mom is stuck on this. I hope she comes around.

Our oldest son came out to us when he was in 10th grade (6 years ago). Apparently
it was a real struggle for him, but it wasn't a surprise to me. After all, I am his mother.
It's made no difference to us at all.

I don't think either his Dad or I "made" him gay--unless you consider the blending of our genes
as responsible. It's just the way he is. And all we have to do as parents is love him for who he is.

I do hope your mom comes around.
