I have seen this here now a number of times, and I'm really amazed and distressed to see how fathers can turn their backs on their daughters! It is truly heart-breaking!

I asked this young woman today if this was common here now, and she thought about it and said, "Yes, I think it is. I can think of several women I know whose fathers won't help them or accept them."

It is nothing but power and control. I've cared for her through the crap with her father (and her mother gets so angry with the father, but she stays with him--- I'm afraid I'd be tempted to tell him to get a heart or get out!!), and cared for another young woman with the same thing.. her mother was loving and supportive, but the father was a control freak and a jerk.

I really don't get it.

All I know is seeing their pain is heart-wrenching!

And seeing their fathers ruin their daughters lives ... well, I can't even express what that does to me!
