Outside of the western world, being fat is viewed either neutrally or even at times positively.

Recognizing how deeply emotionally abusive most of western society is toward "fat people", I am almost tempted to recommend leaving the western world and taking up life in the Middle East or many other non-western societies. It might be running away from bigotry. But you will be a lot, lot happier. I know.

At the very least, consider living in a more accepting society (which is the vast majority of the world) for a year or two. One will be amazed how quickly those sad, sad memories of prejudice and rejection which all too often turns into even sadder self-loathing will become a far and distant memory of the past.
