110. fees are my favourite.
used to be credit card fees. (thanx to school loans and how easy it was to obtain a Discover card when clearly it should have been illegal) thats been maxed out for years

Now we have overdraft fees. here's my scenario. I'm sure others have different names
Union Planters becomes Regions.... Regions is bought by AmSouth, but AmSouth having such a bad reputation keeps the Regions name. Thanks to deregulation, Checks go in first then paycheck. Meaning $30-35 in overdraft fees even with the paycheck in hand. Now that rarely happens now, but when the transition happened when AmSouth took control of things last December, I think I lost a good $150 for that switch. Timing, had to get used to their timing. So I rarely right checks. However there's only one problem. My local Regions banks seem to be nice. However I've understood if you don't deposit the deposit slip along with the money or check at one of their atm's or another, it's not credited to your account. old Regions was mostly computer driven, AmSouth was paper driven. Everything needs to be written on paper.

It was like Union Planters to Regions was a step forward in efficiently, but Regions to AmSouth was a step backward. I got used to it , but with that kind of attitude , yeah country will be screwed.
