about issues that mean so much to us that we have a hard time not giving a knee jerk reaction.

The problem with that is when we jerk and don't have all the facts yet.

As an African American I understand how deeply any trace of mistreatment can cut to the core.

But,in my view, Obama is the model that we need to follow in these trying times.

Before I start hurting people's feelings and slapping the keys hard on my computer, I say to myself, " What would Obama Want Me To Do?"

At least 100 times during the campaign I wanted to hit somebody but I didn't and when the dust settled, Obama brought us through it with dignity and grace.
