107. There are many, many, many reasons why women stay
with their abusers. Read the article I linked to.

The adult whose mother was abused needs to understand why she didn't leave. Mostly likely it was a combination of the fear of being killed, fear of the abuser hurting the CHILD, along with monetary reasons.

Listen, many women who leave end up living in their car with their children. So they're looking at being homeless, not having the money to buy food, let alone medicine, and harming their children. Weigh all that against being hit by a guy, and sometimes women see returning as their only option.

The fact that we don't have state-of-the-art women's shelters in this country is a sin. Also, many women's shelters won't accept teenage boys, so that automatically reduces the options for millions of women.
