From what I know about Russian / Soviet history is post WW II the
Russians formed the Warsaw Pact so as to keep any future fighting
form being on their soil after losing 10 million + in the war.

Bad enough the unelected Boy-King has been pushing anti missile
units for eastern europe but putting NATO right smack up against
Russia might not be a good idea.
