Reply #51: Very Important, Threatening, Confusing Story, Ignored--Except by Moyers

I remember when Bill Moyers had this report on the first time, "Capitol Crimes," a couple of years ago--I had to listen to it very carefully several times, tape it, etc., because it is so convoluted, such a huge web, that I was lost until I got some of it memorized and could think of the parts fitting together. This scum group of "Young Republicans"/corporate lobbyists (Abramoff, Reed, Norquist group) "dismantling Government by selling it off," was I think the way Bill Moyers put it; their ties then to DeLay, the inhuman sweatshop in the Maldives; the ties to corporate lobbyist trips (and the one to Scotland and golf was the one, I think, that helped nab the Republican Ney of Ohio, which then led to another scandal, "Coingate," if you'll recall, another Republican illegal slush fund); then to the abuse of the Native tribes who thought they were paying for lobbying servtices for Indian causes, but were instead funding the Abramoff/DeLay, etc., groups; ties to Russian mobs and more lobbyists; and all the while a barrage of "tax-lowering" pseudo-groups, designed to de-fund and cripple Government, and all of them turning out to be yet more Abramoff/Norquist groups.

When you suddenly go to the islands, Maldives, Saipan, etc., and the "concentration camp" where workers, almost all women from China, are kept under armed guard and abused, then whose checks bounce, (with DeLay controlling the continuing deregulation of its operation, and having fired the Clinton Admin. investigator who was going to make a report on it), it is very confusing, until you get the sense of the whole, huge Republican operation, and how it then connects with redistricting, vote-counts, Rove, and all the rest, and it becomes horrific. YET ANOTHER story bungled and not covered by the corporate media: I'll bet most people are still unaware of the alarming, threatening, huge, interconnected web--right into the White House and involving one wing after another of the Republican Party--that is the entire reason why the Federal Government is still so unable to do anything to stop any corporate crime or corporate welfare, and why they never even relate to us at all anymore, except to throw sales pitches at us. They really were taken over, most are still there, and almost absolutely nothing has happened to any of them.
