Hill and Hector - rotten peas festering in a fetid pod.

But on the meat of the story... nobody has ever explained how this Luther Forest fab is supposed to fit into AMD's new "asset lite" strategy. AMD is between a million rocks and an infinity of hard places. Stock has gone from the $40s two years ago to the $4 range today. The biggest part of their "recovery plan" has been an "asset lite" strategy that would see the company sell off its fabs and contract the work out. Yet here they are planning a massive new fab. They must be kinda confused. Maybe vertigo from the two-year-and-continuing freefall. They never should have placed that ATI albatross around their corporate neck.
