4. Nah...Harold's Gonna Go Hollllywooood
There's not a lot of money in being a small-time congresscritter from Tennessee. Since he came to the beltway, the corporate media glommed onto his as a "respectable" black...always used to contrast a Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton or Shiela Jackson-Lee...always trying to pal around with the media. Now he's one of 'em...and I doubt he's coming back...the money and fame are just too good.

I used to like Harold in the 90's...his moderate tone at the time was refreshing...but it soon became tedious as he was used over and over again as a foil to defend Democrats and generally the indefensible. And he did a poor job at both. Watching him at Netroots last weekend was a demonstration on how far he's fallen into the village and how detached he has become with his party.

IMHO, I think Harold's jealous of his buddy Joey Scar...nice money, cushy gig, lots of people gawking and absolutely no downside for what he says or does. Being a pundit never means having to be either right or having to be held accountable for what you previously said or did. Harold fits into that world very well.

My bigger concern about Harold right now is the attempts by his family to try to oust Stephen Cohen from Harold's old seat and turn it back into a family franchise.
