What's with DU & Left Media? Real crisis NOW, very little mention.

I admit, like most Americans, I really only care about what really affects me ... I get it. But, can anyone tell me why there has been little coverage or concern for the people weathering the floods in the MIDWEST? I know its all about unseating Republicans and re-hashing the crimes and misdemeanors over and over with... but we have a real crisis going on NOW! NOW people! I have posted two stories in Latest Breaking News and gotten very little response.... I am getting very disheartened....

I was one of the first people to sit up all night worrying about the levees in New Orleans... I even volunteered here in Austin to help evacuees... I just can't see why we are not pre-occupied with the plight of millions across the MidWest... Is it not politically expedient enough? Well I think it is.. I would like to see some discussion about what our candidate Barack Obama plans to do with respect to FEMA, I wish people could re-open the discussion on FEMA because it is relevant right now...

I am really disheartened.. sure my family is directly affected, but I feel for all my fellow MidWest neighbors who will be going through a similar hell to that of New Orleans.
