for the page I'm working on now. We pros (I'm really an amateur in the sense that I've always earned my living doing something else, but I have the skills) usually manage to get all the way to the bottom before getting tired enough to make The Mistake. But sometimes we make it early in the page and finish the whole page before we catch the damned thing, which is what I did a half-hour ago.

But that's what makes us pros, not some nitwit scribbling a demo sign: we *care* about whether we get it right.

I've decided to quit for today, because just looking at the first three lines on the new sheet tells me I'm used up.
