He came on the show and ...I don't even remember the premise, but he basically told them that they were poisoning the atmosphere and please shut up. He got slammed for that.

I think the reasoning is similar - if you agree with Montel about Faux Entertainment posing as news, you have to look really hard at yourself as a part of the media. I don't know WHAT Dan Abrams is presenting. Is it news? Social commentary? I got nothing against him, but it seems to me his show consists of maybe one actual news story and the rest entertainment, head shaking and finger wagging.

MSM sticks together and defends itself. Even on Keith Olbermann, mention was made in a post above about his non-comment on the Kucinich freeze out of the debate. But there were also some very dismissive comments about Media Matters when they were objecting to Chris Mathews.

By the way, shortly after Jon Stewarts' appearance, Crossfire was cancelled. Maybe Montel needs more clout.

But best wishes to him and his. I'm sure he'll land on his feet.
