2. The outing of Brewster Jennings is what raised this to the level
of treason because it literally blinded the CIA in the area of nuclear weapons development in the Middle East for several years, at least until another cover organization could be set up and new contacts made.

This was done at a critical time, when Stupid & the PNAC goons were trying to sell the idea that Iran, Iraq and Syria were all just weeks away from exploding nuclear warheads over Israel. Evidence to the contrary was the last thing they wanted to come through and that's why Brewster Jennings and all its contacts had to be neutralized by exposure.

Plame was named later for pure vengeance, but that was a minor crime in comparison to what they did when they outed Brewster Jennings.

And their party did nothing and continues to block all efforts into a full and honest investigation.
