The important debate about abortion is not "yes/no" but "until when", or more specifically "under what circumstances until when"?

I dismiss out of hand anyone who argues against abortion on demand in the first trimester, and I pretty much dismiss anyone who argues either for abortion on demand or for blanket bans in the third trimester.

How far into the second trimester abortion should be legal on demand, and under what circumstances it should be legal after that, are, I think, genuinely vexed moral issues (my answers are "near/til the end, I think, but I'm not sure of the medical evidence" and "for medical reasons - disability or the health of the mother - and possibly a few, but not many, other reasons").
