the only two that don't are Illinois and Wisconsin. Most states' laws are identical to those of Florida, and a lot of New England states are actually gun-friendlier (Vermont comes to mind, where you don't even need a license to carry a concealed firearm for lawful purposes).

BTW, Florida's homicide rate was somewhat below the national average at last count, even with Miami in the mix, IIRC. It's about the same as New Jersey's, which has some of the most draconian gun laws in the nation, and way lower than that of the District of Columbia, where lawful possession of any functional firearm is completely banned.
