But they currently take $800 a month out of his fixed income, and the deduction keeps rising. When we turn 65 in a few years, we can either opt out in favor of Medicare or keep paying. The problem is there are no primary-care physicians in Anchorage who will see new Medicare patients, so we don't know what we're going to do exactly when that time comes. We may be forced to stay healthy.
