81. I am not aware of the NRA ever arguing for arming everyone - Got a cite?

They are asking for guns to be in schools.

I've heard them argue for allowing people who have qualified for concealed-carry licenses to be allowed to carry their guns concealed at schools and other places. The oversimplified "asking for guns to be in schools" is inaccurate and an appeal to emotion.

They want no restrictions on the types of guns...

Baloney. The NRA has never argued for a repeal of the National Firearms Act.

...and are fighting to keep assault weapons legal...

So am I. The federal AW ban which expired in 2004 did nothing to help public safety, and its expiration hasn't done any harm. Additional bans that have been proposed threaten the value of some historic firearms that I own, and would not improve public safety.

...and "cop killer" armor piercing bullets legal as well.

You're misinformed. Federal law prohibits the same of armor-piercing handgun ammunition to ordinary citizens. The NRA is not lobbying to repeal that law.
