I am not supporting Dennis Kucinich for President (at this time) because I'm waiting to see if my dog is going to get in the race - maybe friday will tell. I have, however, given some thought as to what would happen were he to receive the Party's nomination.

My goodness, it sure would force the debate, wouldn't it? Dennis Kucinich, no matter what you think of him (and I hope you think highly of him) is a may who does not stand and listen to horse shit without saying so. Whoever the Democratic Nominee is that person will be in the spotlight day and night from the acceptance speech at the Convention until the morning after the election. Whatever they say will be on all the news and every word will require a response from the other side.

For the first time the nation would be forced to listen to Dennis Kucinich. For the first time Republicans would have to respond to him - and their response better make sense because, as I said, Dennis doesn't not stand and listen to horse shit without saying so. I think he would absolutely clobber any of the Republicans in an open debate and he (when he can contain that little manic streak in himself) speaks the common sense language of the common man.

Like I said, I'm not here to particularly support him, but he sure would change the nature of the race from the personality contest its lining up to be into a matter of substance in dealing with national policy. What a refreshing change that would be.
