I can't stand to watch Tom Cruise movies because the money he makes will go to the cult he is in. I don't like the idea of supporting Scientology. I'm human and make exceptions. "Born on the Fourth of July" is a superb book and so I watched the movie, also wonderful and Cruise was great in it. I have never watched ANY other movie he is in.
...and I don't boycott John Travolta and he is in the same cult but doesn't shove it in everyone's face the way Tom does. ....and I've loved him since he was Vinnie Barbarino. I guess it depends on how much you can stomach.
My mom thought Jane Fonda is the greatest actress ever but wouldn't pay to see her movies because of her left-wing politics but would watch them when they came on the tv because no money went into Jane's pockets.
I see both sides. As I said above, I guess it depends on what you can stomach. Lee
