The last time, also conveniently before an election year, Rove was cut loose from his title. then he spent more time traveling around, lecturing, consolidating the local fraud archipelago. His job is political fixes. Nothing left to do with Bush tanked. The operation now is 2008 and Georgie ain't running.

Once more, apparently "chased" out of the White House, he will shake free from the current scandals(wasn't it the money scandals last time?) and start his grand tour, maybe with his family and suntan lotion. Come election night, with the Bushmanchurian candidate pulling up to the Democratic dupe, Rove or his chosen minions will once more be somewhere in "central control" tabulation land.

In any event his retirement with ease with all the fraud still technically go for November and all the small races needing a special strategy and that oh so special help, the personal touch is vital. Cheney did his tour of special locations during the season and it wasn't just to boost the campaigns with his popular charm.

So let's see the cause for joy. No Congressional testimony, no jail time. No pointless entrapment with the failed dictator. Loose on the hustings. Most plans- though totally exposed for what they are- simply still in place.

And just in time for the Dem primaries- which if Hillary is actually a shoe-in, means he has no pre-season work to do. If he predicts Hillary, I predict Romney/Thompson. If the GOP steals another one easily that means Rove is back, maybe not ensconced in the actual WH but Bush central division in the shadow government and more and more and more with the Dems despised and despaired over for letting him get away with everything.
