132. I'm calling it neocon tough love
I began to wonder about Rove retiring a couple of months ago. It suddenly hit me. What if Karl left before the eight years is up? What would Dubya do? Could he really pull off anything without Rove working the phones, hanging the lights and marking the cue cards?

I decided then that if Karl left fairly soon, that was a bad sign. Would Bush see it as a betrayal? Would he wonder who is next? Gonzales may protect this president legally and Cheney is always the snapping canine, but Karl was in charge of the flim flam and media manipulation. If Karl leaves, it will just be Bush, the crooked sheriff and the junk yard dog. Let's see them maintain that cowboy image now. Yeehaw.

I think they're all going to wash their hands of him but maybe I'm just wishing.
