He was re-discovered by David Byrne of the Talking Heads (actually, only in the USA did he need to be 're-discovered'), then released this and another album for Zé in 1990 for Luaka Bop:
"Brazil Classics, Vol. 4: The Best of Tom Zé - Massive Hits ." I recommend this as a first Tom Zé album for everyone. Check out the lyrics:

Tom Zé is kinda like Frank Zappa, only a bit more melodious, rhythmic, and far out. :D
