Getting creepy.......

I mean I was pretty fucked up when my son was gone for 18 months, a year in the sandbox

and I had my days, just like you have and others but not like this....

When I was that freaked out and/or depressed I just didn't talk, to anyone.

I'm glad you're reaching out but flooding the board with the same post, over and over,

is ... sort of... creepy.

When we say YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! WE MEAN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN THERE OR ARE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call OPERATION COMFORT!!!! IT's FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our mission is to create a nationwide network of mental health providers
and agencies to donate their services, free of charge, to family members
who have a loved one serving in the Middle East.

As a result of a loved one serving overseas, you may be experiencing any of a wide variety of normal responses to this situation. Here is a brief list of some of the symptoms that may be related to a family member’s role in the Middle East conflict.

Anxiety: Palpitations, shortness of breath, trembling, restlessness, irritability, muscle tension, abdominal distress, a fear of losing control or going crazy.

Depression: Less interest and/or pleasure in daily activities, weight loss or weight gain, a decrease or increase in appetite, insomnia or too much sleep, fatigue, and difficulty with focus and concentration.

Trauma: Avoiding thoughts or conversations associated with the war, avoiding interactions with others to escape being reminded of the war, outbursts of anger, mood swings, and excessive fearfulness.

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, you may benefit from receiving treatment by a licensed mental health care professional. However, if you are feeling suicidal or believe that you may be endangering the safety of another individual, please contact 911 in order to ensure immediate treatment.

Please search our data base, by state and city, to find a mental health provider near you:
