Especially, when it seemed to be apparent, that the issue itself wasn't heeded with as much caution as it should be by some.

I take the subject very personally and find it to be a monumentally important one. When I see that many DU'ers have driven drunk, and others stating that they feel fine at .08% and therefore have no problem driving, then I see no issue with issuing a counter.

Many things are obvious. Yet far too many DU'ers were acting irresponsibly anyway.

So maybe you needed no reminder, but maybe others did. Saying that driving drunk is stupid is not enough. Actually being responsible enough and mature enough to simply refuse to ever do it is altogether different.

That was my problem. Seeing too many people stating "yeah, I've done it. I know it's stupid, but I've done it". That's a crock of shit. Saying it's stupid is worthless, if you aren't going to heed the reasons why.
