4. Saw it last night, it was excellent
It is by far the best film on the Iraq War that I have seen, absolutely brilliant performances and a great script. What I liked most about the movie is that while it focused on the outing of Valerie Plame it never forgot the bigger story. It made it clear that while the Plame outing was incredibly destructive, it served as a distraction to an even bigger crime. The film made the point that people understood that Plame was outed but they did not understand why she was outed, and by committing a serious crime the Bush Administration was able to distract people from the even bigger crime of manipulating intelligence data in order to start a war.
