168. The thing about Deus Ex is that SO MUCH of that game is relative to things that are going on now.
I couldn't believe a game like that got released back then, and I know it wouldn't get released now.

The second one was very watered down, and I'm not surprised.

1999 was one of the last years that you really saw anything "Enlightened" come out. The Movies from that year were the same way. Fight Club, American Beauty, etc.

Yes, unfortunately you are limited somewhat as far as NEWER Games you can play, but there are SO MANY older ones that are better than anything out nowadays anyway. :)

I'm a big fan of Space Sims, so you MIGHT be able to play Independence War and things like that.

I Still love things like Rise Of The Triad, the Original System Shock, Kings Quest, Interstate 76, Duke Nukem', Daggerfall, Elder Scrolls, X-Com, etc.

I will tell you this, if you are a hardcore gamer like me you probably already know about this Site, but there is a FANTASTIC Site that archives some of the most Underrated games in history, and it's full of so much good stuff you could literally spend the rest of your life there.

It's Called Home Of The Underdogs

http://www.homeoftheunderdogs.net/

If you care about Games AT ALL, and you've never been to that Site, you are MISSING OUT. :) You'll get more wonderful Ideas of what to play on your laptop than you could shake a stick at. :)

As for Black Mesa Project, you and me both are breathlessly awaiting. :)

I still say Half Life was one of the greatest games ever made, simply for the Story alone. I can't wait to see the re imagining.
