89. Yawn at all the people who rail against violent video games. It's the same as back in the 1980s
when they blamed heavy metal music, especially Judas Priest, when a few already mentally unbalanced kids tried to commit suicide.

I've played just about every violent video game that's ever existed. Doom, Quake, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Carmageddon, Phantasmagoria (there's a scene in the PC game where the possessed husband chases the wife throughout the house with an axe).

I've listened to just about all types of metal and gangsta rap. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio, Dokken, MegaDeth, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, Ice-T, 2 Live Crew, etc.

I've also seen a lot of horror movies, especially the late 1970s and 1980s. All the Friday the 13ths, the Nightmares on Elm Street, the Halloweens, My Bloody Valentine, Happy Birthday to Me, etc.

When the Ogrish web site was operational, with it's real images of death scenes and bodies, I perused it a few times.

Yet, I've not had any desire to cause harm to people. I don't even own a gun, or any weapons, nor do I regularly go to bars, much less get into fights by being drunk and boisterous. The last time I actually threw a punch at someone was 12 years ago. It was more of a shove, when I was in a club, and the person tried to steal something I had on the table. Other than that, I've rarely been in physical altercations.

Games, music, and movies don't cause violence by themselves. If a person has a tendency to be violent or suicidal, they were that way long before any game, music, or movie reached them.
