judiciously, as you will – we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors … and you, all of you, will be left to study what we do.” http://www.consortiumnews.com/2004/101904.html

The person quoted in this article was an aide to George W. Bush, but, it seems to me, he speaks for the majority of Republicans: "reality" is what they decide it is and, once they decide, actual verifiable facts are unnecessary. Further, if convenient, Republicans can simply change reality by announcing it.

As despicable as these smarmy hypocrites may be, they are no worse than the damned supposed liberals who simply sputter and cluck and mutter about how "transparent" and "unprincipled" the wingnut liars are, all the while ALLOWING THEM TO CONTINUE without getting right up in their face and calling them what they are: lying bastards who would sell their soul if they had one and could turn a profit or gain power over the lives of others.

What the hell are Democrats waiting for?

We've permitted the theft of two elections, the slandering of our genuine war heroes and the creation of a swaggering Republican fighter pilot wannabe. We stood by while neo-con chickenhawks stampeded the ignorant into an immoral war of aggression by simply announcing that Saddam and Osama were allies; that Iraq possessed biological, chemical and nuclear "weapons of mass destruction" which they could deliver to our shores in pilotless drone aircraft.

Recently, we've allowed, without knocking even one sorry sack-o-shit Republican on their spongy ass, the ridiculous "made up out of whole cloth" slander that President Obama 1.) is not a US citizen, 2.) is a muslim socialist Marxist nazi, 3.) hates white people, and, 4.) is determined to raise everyone's taxes and take everyone's guns.

When does this spineless "political realism" end? Give me some passionate, "naive" and "politically unsophisticated" OUTRAGE any day rather than the calm, bloodless, measured tsk-tsking of the Tim Kaine wing of---what passes for the Democratic Party nowadays.

These patient hand-wringers make me want to puke! Asses need kicking, people! Not all of them are on the other side of the aisle. Let's get on with it!
