CDC: A&M researcher infected by bioweapon

What I find exceptional is that one year ago, Robert Gates was sitting in the seat that should have reported this. So, bioterrorism at A&M--->and instead of reporting the incident as he was supposed to do, he is promoted to Secretary of Defense.
A lot of inferences could be drawn here....

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - A federal agency is investigating whether Texas A&M University failed to report that a researcher was infected with a bioweapon agent being studied on campus.

The unidentified researcher was diagnosed last April with brucella, an infectious disease normally passed between animals.

The watchdog group Sunshine Project found that Texas A&M waited nearly a year to report the infection to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Federal law requires a report within seven days.

CDC officials confirmed their investigation, but said there is no current health threat.
