15. Thanks, Spurt, for the reasoned reply. We're not that far apart in our opinions.

I too would certainly prefer to see our Dems in congress do something to end this mess, and perhaps I am too impatient. While Palosi did say that "impeachment is off the table", I can give her the breathing room to hold the investigations she promised and hope that they build into an unstoppable demand for impeachment.

Sibel Edmonds is just ONE of the whistle blowers that need to unburden themselves in public. Along with those from the military, state dept., CIA and other intel agengies, Justice, etc. I have faith that were all the people with damaging testimony about the administration to speak, there would be overwhelming pressure for removal from office.

What concerns me is the possibility that the word 'compromise' has become the working model of our congressional Democrats. If I were a religious person I would pray that I were wrong, but I have seen little evidence of vertebral bodies among them.

I long to hear one of our leadership stand up and tell Shitforbrains: "You are NOT the 'decider', you are only the president, so if you want to get ANYTHING done in your last 20 months in office you'd better start working with us."
