... in regards to someone in Dumbya's CIA briefing the top members of the http://voices.washingtonpost.com/capitol-briefing/2009/05/pelosi_accuses_cia_of.html?hpid=topnews">intelligence committee about torture on September 4, 2002 ...

#1 none of the principles ever testified before Congress
Remember the 9/11 Commission meetings? Neither Bush or Cheney testified before Congress under oath.

Remember this from July 13, 2007:

What about this from July 10, 2008:

What about when that girl from the Department of Justice who did all that hiring of unqualified graduates of that fucked-up law school? Wasn't she asked under oath if her politicizing hiring was illegal and didn't she say that she wasn't sure? This person was in charge of hiring legal professionals to represent the nation's best interests?

#2 Speaking of Monica Goodling, the GOP filled government positions with partisan stooges, like Monica Goodling.
Have we already forgotten how we still haven't gotten to the bottom of the firing of the U.S. Attorneys?

How can we assume that these Christian partisans were only in the DoJ? We know they're in the Air Force, who's to say the GOP didn't simply fill every available open government job with the ideologically loyal?

Have we also forgotten http://thinkprogress.org/2009/03/31/hersh-cheney-behind/">what Sy Hersh said?

#3 Porter Goss (the other person briefed with Pelosi) is an ass
Remember Fahrenheit 9/11? The internets does: http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/mikeinthenews/index.php?id=128

Did we forget that Goss is former CIA and was later named http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porter_Goss">director of the CIA two years after that briefing?

Why do we forget these things? Why do we allow the GOP-controlled media to determine what gets discussed?

Especially when we know damn well the GOP will not testify before Congress if and when an investigation begins. And, who in Dumbass' CIA did the briefing? The CIA equivalent of Sara Taylor or Rachel Paulose?

One more thing: who the hell is going to believe Goss' version of things?

Knowing all of this, I have no problem trusting Pelosi in this.

As far as an investigation?

Bring it on.
