29. I am a LIBERAL and PROUD OF IT!
We all know how successful the Republicans have been at making "liberal" a bad word. They have dragged the moral center of our country to the right. They have moved the very perception of what it is to be a patriotic American to the right as well.

Now Obama comes in preaching bi-partisanship, and I hope it works out for him, but should we forget the way Republicans said a Democrat was being bi-partisan when he agreed with them but was being "obstructionist" when he disagreed?

I believe we can not give ground to the very folks who said they were out to create a "permanent Republican majority". Doing so would effectively fix their plan for a center right America into place. We cannot accept the status quo as the proper starting point for negotiation. We must drag the country back to it's true center. In order to do this we must rebuild the image of liberalism. We must be partisan. We must insist on a fair liberal press. We must show the world there is justice in our country, the greatest liberal country in the world.

Now is our time to press the advantage. Go Barack!
