So, I was at work, in a Dr's office, and politics happen to come up. I think a patient starting talking about McCain and how "he is really a Democrat" He and Hillary were Centrists and Obama is a crazy way too liberal. So , I had to school them on how McCain IS NO WHERE NEAR a Dem. And I told him that McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time, and he say well that might me true but, he's really a centrist. It was all I could do to NOT continue this schooling, but not really appropriate at my job. But, the worst thing was after he left my coworker starts in on me. Saying I know you are "...um passionate" about the subject(which I'm sure was a substitute for something less polite) that I shouldn't talk about it because I am too passionate. Yes I am passionate about the truth, to which
(and the kicker, that made me feel like i was in a conversation with Stephen Colbert. She actually said "but that is YOUR truth, his truth may be something different, maybe it is just what he believes." WTF? Are we talking about religion. I thought we were talking about congressional record. My hands started to shake(i get that way some times). I really think I need some advice on how to handle situations such as this with more finesse. Any advice? Thanks for letting me vent!
