just like Watergate, gotta get a direct connection to them. Nixon got caught lying about a tape, Clinton got caught ling abvout a blowjob... Underlings don't count-- they're paid to fall on their swords to protect the boss.

Iran-Contra could have nailed Reagan, but he managed to stay "just that far" away from the actual crime and could deny everything. If we're gonna get either, or both, of them, we have to find their fingers very much in the pie.
