if he had been a Halocaust survivor and said I hate the Germans? How about Indians on the Reservations who say they hate Americans and always will? There are many of these. Please remember that in all fairness, "gooks" refer to the people who captured and tortured him, not the Vietnamese people as a whole. I agree that this little gem should have gone unsaid but let us be some fair.
