And as much as I hate to say it, it looked like a technical issue.

When 60min was supposed to start it went black.
I changed from the HD station to the SD one to see if it was just the HD going out. It was black on SD too.
So I sat and waited, expecting the show to come back on any second.

What happened then was the screen would flicker briefly, like they were changing signals or something.
Then the audio to 60 min would come in for 10 seconds or so, then go away again.
Then the screen would flash a few more times to various shades of black (difrent signal strengths or something I guess, I would call it interference really).
At one point it even flashed up what looked like a celing with a production light in the shot. Like they activated a camera that was pointed at the celing. That went away after about 20-30 seconds.
The audio came in and out several times.

And at about 6 or 7 min into the show, 60 min came back on and I was able to see the second half of the piece about the Governor.
It was about half way through the piece, because I watched it again in full when WHNT re-aired it during thier 10pm news, and I had already seen about half.



So like I said, to me it looked like a legit technical issue.
I don't know who's fault it was. But it looked like a real technical problem they were trying to fix.
