Ever since the X-files started manipulating our attitudes, I have tracked what Jacques Ellul calls "deep sociological propaganda", especially UFO/occult stuff. This TV program started out as typical occult-like crapola, but after two interminable hours they finally showed their true colors. (I had it on in a side-window as I was web surfing - can't watch that mindrot by itself.)
The program was based on some obscure manuscript that just surfaced at an auction, which the "experts" claimed was really some writing by Nostradamus that had been lost "until just the right moment". (But even their so-called scientific experts were forced to report that the book was not in Nostradamus's handwriting and that the last page had been added well after his death.)
They recited the usual cant that Nostradamus had "prophesied" the coming of Napoleon and Hitler, and that, with the "clues" in this lost manuscript, they were now in a position to identify Osama Bin Laden as the third anti-Christ. Oh, and also, this book showed that our "current timeline" was one of the "darker" ones that Nostradamus had seen - this timeline led to the Apocalypse, with no way out.
OBL, Apocalypse. Lather, rinse, repeat. How bloody convenient.
----
Clearly the History Channel is part of "the mighty Wurlitzer" drumbeating us to our very own Final Solution. Nostradamus looked at today and decided OBL was a bigger anti-Christ than George W. Bush? Oh, please!
The History Channel should do a little historical research. The British used this astrologer's prophecy shtick against the Nazis in World War 2. Who knows if it worked? But, the modus operandi is so clear:
"One of (an agent's) jobs was to get the astrologer Luis de Wohl launched on his new career...to shake public confidence in Hitler...de Wohl said Hitler's horoscope showed the planet Neptune in the house of death...a statement by the prominent (Egyptian) soothsayer Sheikh Youssef Afifi: "Four months hence a red planet wil appear in the eastern horizon. A dangerous evildoer who had drenched the world in blood will die."...Such stories were echoed by muezzins from their minarets in Malaya, the Chinese in their temples in Hong Kong, and wherever else British propaganda warfare could orchestrate prophecies that would confirm de Wohl's eminence in his field...The AP carried reports of the annual convention of the American Federation of Scientific Astrologers. They agreed the Fuhrer's star was setting. It would have been odd if they said anything else, since the Federation was a BSC (British Security Coordination) creation.
- William Stevenson "A Man Called Intrepid"
And I thought the History Channel (a.k.a. the WW2 channel) had some shred of impartiality. Not in Bush's Amerika.
