Appetizer: Cheerleaders no longer acceptable but "pom pom squad" is.

Salad: Sensible, the liberals most outstanding quality, is now a pejorative term.

Main Course: Mistating the President's Afghanistan policy from the campaign and his current one now is Standard Operating Procedure.

Side Dish: Drafting legislation with an eye of what can pass the Senate's inordinate Byzantine process that requires a super super majority is now charachterized as saying the President "can't wave magic wands".

And the soup de jour: Always popular, suggesting in a passive/aggressive voice that people who engage in a daily litany of reflexive robotic bashing of the President as a "corporatist sell out" are to be confused with people who support the Democratic ticket, Democratic Administration but offer principled criticism, and accused of wanting Palin to be President in 2012.

Desert: Inability to carry the argument is to be understood as "being marginalized", something that President hasn't done to Muslims, Allies, the Russians, the Chinese, or any group in the US (having been criticized for being too open to opposing points of view) but is reserved for "leftist bloggers".

Cost: Knowing that the ritual Obama haters impact in the real world is shriveling as the President passes more legislation in a more hostile partisan setting than has been done in 50 years (or more as even the Republicans were inclined to side with FDR much of the time). PRICELESS.

Tip: Even the columnists and pundits who have criticized Obama in the past are adding up the bill and calculating that the President is getting real legislation passed in the real world (90% of a good bill is better that 0% of a great bill)at a significant rate. Maybe some of those clever cartoonists should start watching Rachel Maddow.
