He's just engaging in wishful thinking.
I have a lot of experience being highly critical of Israel. But frankly, of all the things I would accuse them of, being insane is not one of them. Nor is not recognizing the consequences of their actions. I sincerely don't believe it is going to happen; this year or next year or the year after or probably anytime. At least I would hope not.
